You’ll be finding plenty of cheap international flights from San Francisco to Paris operated by world-class carriers. When you are flying out from San Francisco to Paris your departing airport will be San Francisco International Airport (IATA code: SFO) in San Francisco and your arrival airport will be Charles de Gaulle Airport (IATA code CDG) in Paris. You can fly non-stop or with a layover / stopover option across SFO to CDG depending on your convenience and budget. A connecting flight with a layover may sometimes work out cheaper but you may have to compromise on the long hours of travel time.

Charles de Gaulle Airport facilities

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is the largest international airport in France and is equipped with the best facilities for the passengers flying in and out of the airport. CDG features three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Terminal 1 is the oldest of all the terminals, Terminal 2 has seven sub terminal buildings (2A to 2G) and Terminal 3 is used for charter flights and low-cost airlines. Moving through the terminals of CDG can be quite tricky, especially Terminal 2. The international airport offers services such as free WiFi, free mobile charging units, airport lounges and a myriad of shops, cafes and restaurants which close by 11:30 pm.

Getting to central Paris from Charles de Gaulle Airport

The cheapest and easiest way of getting to central Paris from the airport is using the RER B train (blue line) from CDG, the train ride takes a cool 20 minutes, a one-way ticket costs only Euro 10 and can be purchased at the ticket booths at the arrival terminals.

Best time to fly to Paris, France

The peak season for tourism in Paris is in the months of June and July when the weather is warm, tourist influx into the city is at the highest but on the down side everything right from accommodation to airfares will shoot up around this peak time and you must be prepared to shell out a few dollars more for your vacation. Travel in February if you want to save big on airfares and accommodation as this is the off-peak season. Regardless of the time of the year you plan to fly to Paris, you must always book your hotel and airfares at least 3 months in advance in order to leverage the lowest expenses of your trip. Reliable airlines for your flight from SFO TO CDG are Lufthansa, Air France and Swiss.
